There is no end in sight to the Russian aggression against the Ukrainian people. While some of the refugees return to some of the liberated areas, others move on after a few months to friends or relatives across Europe or overseas. Nevertheless, new refugees are arriving every week. Still, long-term plans are hard to establish. Valmez4Shelter is committed to helping the small town of Valmez to enable refugees who are seeking protection to lead a dignified life. We think it is important for children and young people in particular to find safe shelter and the opportunity for education and advancement. And if the younger generation finds a new normal, it also helps their adult relatives to find peace during these challenging times.

Communication between the families and friends in Valmez and back in Ukraine is particularly important for the refugees. To do that, Ukrainians need modern means of communication. Valmez4Shelter has sent 23 donated smartphones and 30 laptops. We are happy to accept your used, still functioning devices. Please contact us by email and send the device well-packed (including the necessary charger cables) to our office address. We will test and forward them to Valmez, where they will be handed out to refugees from Ukraine.
